Wheat

Washington state is the 4th largest wheat producer in the U.S. Wheat is an important part of the crop rotation at AgriNorthwest. The majority of our production is soft white winter wheat. Winter wheat yields better than spring varieties and also protects the soil from wind erosion during the winter. We also grow some Dark Northern Spring wheat when conditions are favorable. Most of the wheat grown in the Pacific Northwest is exported to the Pacific Rim.
